About Yogaship

Since my yoga practice became daily under the guidance of my teacher Ron van der Post, my relation to myself and life, in general, changed in such a positive way that I want to share my “travel” experiences with others.

The image of a ship apeared one day in my mind representing my possibilities as human being. This metaphor shows the power of uniting strength and softness, the Yang and the Yin energy that lives in all of us. We need strength to defy stormy weather and choose direction, as we need softness to be gentle with our inner crew, to work together, and to surrender the elements of life that we can’t direct. Yoga can help to balance this qualities which improves our life and the possibility to use our potential as human beings in the benefit of the whole.

For me, yoga is a practice and art that allows us to dive deeper into ourselves and through that into this mystical life. By bringing my attention inwards I experience self-efficacy. It nourishes my faith that I HAVE influence on my system, that I AM the captain of my ship. And at the same time I realise that I need to surrender to the waves of life that I can`t direct.

Practicing yoga empowers my inner leadership and inner friendship. An welcome effect of this empowerment is that I feel more free than ever before to live the life i want to live. I feel grateful to share the gifts I received with the world.
